Petro beat Libolo in the 2015 FIBA African Champions Cup, Quezada named MVP

Nine years on, and Petro Atletico de Luanda clinched the 2015 FIBA African Champions Cup (ACC), beating Recreativo do Libolo 89-75 on Saturday at Arena Kilamba on the outskirts of the Angolan capital Luanda. 

 

Paced by Dominican Emanuel Quezada, Petro de Luanda led most of the contest to win FIBA Africa’s flagship club competition for the first time since 2006.

It was Petro’s second major title this year after beating Libolo in game-7 of the Angolan BIC Basket League in May.

As well as leading all players with game-highs 32 points and seven assists, Quezada was named the tournament Most Valuable Player.
