Juan Carlos Navarro officially retires, to join FC Barcelona Basketball structure

The club hereby announces that Juan Carlos Navarro shall be forming part of its basketball structure from the 2018/19 season, as established in the contract signed in September 2017, now that he has retired from active sporting duty.
‘La Bomba’ is leaving behind a hugely successful 20-year career with the first team, which shall now be continued in role to be explained by the athlete himself at a press conference to be given on the club facilities shortly.
Born in Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Navarro has brought an end to his time on the first team, which spanned from 1997-2007 and 2008-2018, during which time he won 35 major titles, making him the most successful player in the history of the Barça basketball section.
