Cory Jefferson signs with Olimpia Milano

The deal is official

Pallacanestro Olimpia EA7 Emporio Armani Milano agreed on terms with Cory Jefferson, a 2.06 mt power forward.

WHO’S JEFFERSON – Born on December, 26, 1990 in Tacoma, Washington, Jefferson was raised in Killeen, Texas. Playing for Killeen High School, he helped the team win fourth consecutive state championships and compile three straight 30-win seasons. In 2009 he moved to Baylor University. During the 2012/13 season, he averaged 13.3 points per game to go along 8.0 rebounds. Baylor won the NIT and Jefferson was named to the All-Tournament team after finishing the season with four consecutive 20-point games, including 23 against Iowa in the championship game. In 2013/14 he led Baylor in points (13.7) and rebounds (8.2), he was also included in the All-Big 12 conference second team and became the first Baylor player to compete in three NCAA Tournament. He’s fourth All-Time at Baylor in blocks, ninth in rebounds and fourth for double-double games (25). He was the 60th selection in the 2014 NBA draft: San Antonio traded his rights to Brooklyn. As a rookie, he played 50 game for Brooklyn averaging 3.7 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. In 2015/16 he appeared in 8 games for the Phoenix Suns while spending most of the season in the D-Leagues’ Bakersfield Jams. There he averaged 17.3 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. In 2016 he signed for the Cleveland Cavaliers. He spent there the entire preseason. When he was released he signed for the D-League’s Austin Spurs. He played 42 games, scoring 15.8 points per game with 8.4 rebounds and made 35.8 percent of his threes. He also made the All-Star Game. He finished the season in the Philippines with the Alaska Aces (29.5 points per game to go along 14.0 rebounds and made 46.6 percent of his threes.

NOTES – In 2013 he took part in the World University Games with the USA National Team… He comes from the same college attended by former Olimpia star Curtis Jerrells.
