Unics Kazan waived Marko Banic

The ex Eurocup MVP Marko Banic is not a member of Unics Kazan any more, even though the club and the player had two years remaining on the contract. Croatian power forward, who is fully recovered from a serious knee injury sustained during team's preparations last August, may take this case to court. Banic missed the entire last season recovering from the cartilage injury on his right knee, and got himself in full shape for the coming season. However, Unics signed several players and decided to part ways with Banic. However, by doing that, they breached the agreement they signed with the player, so the case will likelu go to FIBA for arbitration.
