P.J. Carlesimo is ready to give another chance to Humphries
The power forward will come back into the rotation
Just 8 days after removing Kris Humphries completely from the rotation, PJ Carlesimo said after Thursday’s practice that he plans to bring his $24 million man back “sooner rather than later.”
“We gotta get Hump in the lineup back soon,” Carlesimo said. “His conditioning is good. He’s done a lot of extra stuff with (trainer Jeremy Bettle). The thing he hasn’t done is be on the floor in a while.”
Carlesimo had pulled Humphries from the rotation to give Mirza Teletovic a better look before the playoffs, but the Bosnian has struggled with his shot and defensively since becoming the first power forward off the bench.
“Just making decisions,” Carlesimo said. “We’ve been trying to look at Mirza a lot and MarShon (Brooks) to an extent, but we’ve got to look at other guys too.
