The Boston Celtics today announced that they have signed 2011 draft picks JaJuan Johnson and E'Twaun Moore. Per team policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Johnson, a 6'10" forward, was named the Big Ten Player of the Year and Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year after averaging 20.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game in 2010-11. The native of Indianapolis, Indiana was named a Consensus First Team All-American last year and won the Pete Newell National Big Man of the Year award. Johnson finished his career at Purdue second all-time in blocks (263), fifth in rebounds (854) and seventh in points (1,919). The 27th overall pick in 2011 was originally acquired in a draft night trade from New Jersey in exchange for the draft rights to Marshon Brooks.

Moore, a 6'4" guard, was an Honorable Mention Associated Press All-American last season at Purdue where he averaged 18.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.2 steals per game. He also was a top 20 Wooden Award finalist and a Second Team All-Big Ten honoree. Recorded a career-high 38 points on 13-of-18 shooting from the floor in a win against No. 2 ranked Ohio State in which he tied a personal-best with seven three-pointers. Left Purdue as the school's all-time leader in three-point field goals made (243) and co-leader in wins (107), games played (140) and consecutive games played (140). The Celtics selected Moore in the second round with the 55th overall pick.
