Knicks: No Outside Influence In Carmelo Trade Talks

D'Antoni, Walsh e Dolan stanno agendo di comune accordo

NBA

Amid reports that Isiah Thomas is heavily involved in strategy and discussions involving a trade for Carmelo Anthony, the Knicks have released a statement which refutes the claim.

James Dolan, Donnie Walsh and Mike D'Antoni issued a statement to "make it abundantly clear" that the three have been "in constant communication" throughout the process and are "in complete agreement with everything we are currently working on."

"We want to make it clear that no one from outside our organization has been involved in this process in any way," the statement adds, in a clear reference to Thomas.

A source tells Alan Hahn that the Knicks will not improve their current offer to Denver.  The team is reportedly offering Raymond Felton, Wilson Chandler, Danilo Gallinari, a first-round draft pick acquired using Anthony Randolph and Eddy Curry.  Anthony, Chauncey Billups and other pieces would be sent to New York.

New York is "not going any further," the source said. "It's out of our hands now," indicating that a final decision from Denver is pending.
