Kawamura will try the NBA
Il top scorer del campionato giapponese prova a giocare in NBA
Japanese Takuya Kawamura is to try a career in the NBA. The 22-year-old guard is currently in the United States trying to convince an NBA team of his value. Kawamura topscored the JBL this season with 20.4 points per game, leading Tochigi Brex to the 5th place in the league, one spot shy of making the playoffs.
With this decision, Kawamura will no longer be a part of the Japan national team's preparations this year.
The 1.93m tall player could become the fourth Japanese to make the NBA, after Wataru Misaka (the first Japan player ever in the NBA), giant Yasutaka Okayama and teammate Yuta Tabuse.
