Pelicans officially announce DeMarcus Cousins is out for the season

He will undergo surgery after he ruptured his left Achilles tendon

It was already known, but now the New Orleans Pelicans have officially announced that center DeMarcus Cousins is done for the rest of the season after he ruptured his left Achilles last night.

Cousins has averaged 25.2 points, 12.9 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game this season.
