Spurs to sign Ettore Messina to a two-year contract extension
Messina will sign a new contract with the Spurs
Ettore Messina will sign a new two-year contract with the San Antonio Spurs.
The coach had his contract set to expire at the end of June but the Spurs offered a new two-year deal.
This is the reason that forced Messina to step down from his position as Italy’s National Team head coach after Eurobasket.
“In San Antonio I feel they want me. They did not wait for a second, there is a new contract waiting, I have to sign it” Messina told Il Corriere della Sera.
Messina will remain as assistant coach of Gregg Popovich.
