Dewayne Dedmon opted out of his contract with the San Antonio Spurs to test free agency.
The big man may sign a contract worth 8-10 million during the summer.
Per San Antonio Express News, Dedmon didn’t close the door on a possible return to the Spurs, but his market could increase to roughly $8-10 million per season, league sources told the Express-News.
The Spurs do not have Dedmon’s “Bird Rights,” which would allow the team to exceed the salary cap to re-sign him. Dedmon will not be a restricted free agent, either, meaning the Spurs will not be able to match any offer he receives; hence, the chances of a return are unlikely.
