Timberwolves eyeing Derrick Rose
Rose will be free agent from July 1
The Timberwolves are interested in Derrick Rose for next season.
Rose will be free agent from July 1 when his contract with the Knicks expires.
Per ESPN, Rose, the 2011 MVP, has a strong relationship with Timberwolves president and head coach Tom Thibodeau; he played for five seasons under Thibodeau with the Chicago Bulls.
Rose and his agent, B.J. Armstrong, have both stated that they'd be open to re-signing with the Knicks. In his season-ending news conference, team president Phil Jackson said he was impressed by Rose expressing a desire to return despite the difficult season.
