No deal between Rockets and Motiejunas, he's expected to sign the qualifying offer
Adrian Wojnarowski reported the story
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, Rockets still haven't found an agreement for a new deal with restricted free-agent Donatas Motiejunas. If this situation keeps going, Motiejunas is expected to sign the qualifying offer, worth 4.4 mln, and become an unrestricted free-agent next summer.
Rockets traded Motiejunas to the Pistons back in February but the player didn't pass his physicals.
Without a deal, most likely resolution will be Motiejunas signing one-year qualifier and becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2017.
