As reported by the Philadelphia Inquirer, The 76ers filled some coaching vacancies Tuesday, according to NBA sources. The team promoted Delaware 87ers coach Kevin Young and assistant John Bryant to its coaching staff, and Sixers shooting coach Gene Burroughs will take over as coach of the 87ers. The 87ers are the Sixers’ NBA Development League affiliate.
Kevin Young is expected to take the assistant coaching position that was vacated by Will Weaver. John Bryant, a former post player at St. Joseph’s, is expected to take over as the team’s player development assistant and assistant coach for post players. –
