Thunder Adds Stone, Wells and Zanna to Training Camp Roster

The Oklahoma City Thunder signed guards Julyan Stone and Dez Wells along with forward Talib Zanna, it was announced today by Executive Vice President and General Manager Sam Presti. Per team policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Stone (6-6, 200), brings three years of NBA experience, seeing action in 47 games with Toronto and Denver, averaging 1.3 points, 1.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 7.0 minutes. Stone spent the previous season in Italy with Umana Venezia where he averaged 7.1 points, 7.6 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.12 steals in 27.4 minutes. While playing collegiately at UTEP, Stone broke both the school and Conference USA records for career assists with 714.

Wells (6-5, 215), enters his first professional season after a college career at the University of Maryland. The guard was selected to the All-Big Ten First Team for the 2014-15 season and the All-ACC Third Team in 2013-14. As a senior, Wells averaged 15.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 30.5 minutes.

Zanna (6-9, 230), spent the 2014-15 season with the Oklahoma City Blue after participating in Thunder training camp. A 2015 NBA D-League All-Star, Zanna ranked second in the league in both total rebounds (550) and offensive boards (205) while averaging 13.3 points and 11.0 rebounds in 27.7 minutes. The University of Pittsburgh product was named to the NBA D-League All-Rookie Second Team at the conclusion of the season.
