Sonny Weems said it was done with Barcelona before Suns' offer

Sonny Weems spoke about his returning to the NBA after four years.
The American signed a multi-year contract with the Suns after four years in Europe.
Weems said that he was headed to FC Barcelona before the Suns decided to sign him.

“It was done with Barcelona” Weems said. “I was already focused on returning to Europe and going to Barcelona to watch also some football matches” added Weems. “But the day of my birthday I was told I was going to the Suns by my friends. They knew that. I called my agent and he confirmed to me the news. It was the best birthday for me” added Weems.
