Jackson considering bringing Bargnani back for a one-year deal at a good price
Andrea Bargnani will be free agent from July 1
According to NY Post, Knicks president Phil Jackson is considering bringing Bargnani back next season if he can get a one-year deal at a good price. There have been scouts at recent Knicks games evaluating their free-agent talent, and Bargnani is being scrutinized.
One team to exclude is Toronto. President Masai Ujiri shipped Bargnani to the Knicks days before the 2013 draft for a collection of draft picks and the Raptors’ benefit was addition by subtraction.
Bargnani missed the first meeting in Toronto Dec. 14 with a calf injury and didn’t seem overjoyed for another homecoming.
“Special in what way?’’ Bargnani said when asked if it meant something to return to his former workplace. “I’ve been there seven years. Obviously it’s a place very familiar, other than that?’’
