Splash Brothers and Belinelli headline Foot Locker Three-Point Contest

Golden State guards Stephen Curry and Klay Thompsonwill join Atlanta's Kyle Korver and five other players in the Foot Locker Three-Point Contest before the NBA All-Star Game.

 

The NBA said Thursday that Houston's James Harden and Cleveland's Kyrie Irving also will compete along with defending champion Marco Belinelli of San Antonio, Portland's Wesley Matthews and the Los Angeles Clippers' J.J. Redick.

 

The event is Saturday, Feb. 14, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The All-Star Game is Feb. 15.

 

Curry made 10 3-pointers and scored 51 points Wednesday night in the Warriors' home victory over Dallas. On Jan. 23, Thompson made 11 3-pointers - setting an NBA quarter record with nine in his 37-point third quarter - in a 52-point game against Sacramento. Korver leads the NBA in 3-point accuracy at 53.2 percent.

 

The eight-player field for the Taco Bell Skills Challenge also was announced Thursday.

Defending champion Trey Burke of Utah will join Washington's John Wall, Toronto's Kyle Lowry, Chicago's Jimmy Butler, Atlanta's Jeff Teague, Philadelphia's Michael Carter-Williams, Milwaukee's Brandon Knight and Phoenix's Isaiah Thomas. They will compete in a head-to-head bracket competition in the obstacle-course event that tests dribbling, passing, agility and shooting skills.

 

Curry also will compete in the Degree Shooting Stars event.

 

Curry will team with father Dell Curry and Sue Bird of the WNBA's Seattle Storm in the timed shooting competition. Miami's Chris Bosh is grouped with Dominique Wilkins and the New York Liberty's Swin Cash; New Orleans'Anthony Davis will join Scottie Pippen and the Chicago Sky's Elena Delle Donne; and Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook will team with Anfernee Hardaway and the Indiana Fever's Tamika Catchings.
