Calathes: I hope my second NBA season will be better than the first on

Nick Calathes gave an interview at Το Βήμα της Κυριακής (newspaper) and he said about the NBA
"It was my childhood dream to play in the NBA. I am very happy that the Memphis gave me the opportunity. Of course i had a different role in Europe. I was playing much more. In the NBA I had to gain every minute. It wasn’t easy. At the beginning of the season I had few problems, but half way through I started to play, to find my path.
The thing in the NBA is to get chances. I knew my time would come and that i had to be ready for it. After the starting point guard got injured, I grabbed the opportunity. I hope my second season will be better than the first one".
Rumors during the summer.
“It was a lot stressful everything that happened this summer. I didn't know where I was going to play next season. There was a lot of confusion, while my primary agent, the one who got the deal, got a job at the Memphis Grizzlies as a GM and then he got fired, so I didn't know if I had a second year. At the same time, my agent was talking with European teams, but at the end the Grizzlies decided to keep me. So I am going back and I will do my best to find a better contract, next season. If I don’t make it, I'll go back to Europe
Suspension for doping
"I was shocked. I could not believe it. They call me from the lab of the NBA and they told my they found a illegal substance. Never in my life I got anything, to help me play basketball. Actually, I am against that. First, I talked with my wife, then with my father, but still i could not believe it. When I apologized to FIBA, I was honest. I admit I made the mistake to use something, without knowing what was in it and I had to say that to my team, but I didn’t. They appreciated my honesty".
