San Antonio Spurs to call Malcolm Thomas from D-League

Malcolm Thomas will be signed by the Spurs. The big man, who has played in Europe with Maccabi Tel Aviv, is actually playing in D-League with the D-Fenders.

Sources told ESPN.com on Sunday night that Thomas will soon be joining San Antonio on a D-League callup from the L.A. D-Fenders after Boris Diaw's fine start to the season with the Spurs was interrupted this week by a rib contusion and then a dislocated finger. 
Since going unselected in the 2011 NBA Draft, Thomas has had NBA stints with the Spurs, Golden State and Chicago in addition to a high-profile job abroad with Israeli powerhouse Maccabi Tel Aviv.
