CJ Wallace in doubt for Final Four as Barcelona's injury woes continue

Three injuries for Barcelona

ACB
Less than 24 hours after qualifying for the Final Four in London, FC Barcelona Regal added up the costs of what it took to get there by announcing injuries to three different players on Friday. First, superstar Juan Carlos Navarro is expected to miss half of the preparation time for the Final Four, approximately one week, with a pulled muscle in his left leg. But the biggest damage for Barcelona might be at power forward, where CJ Wallace is expected to miss two weeks – right up to semifinals Friday on May 10 – with a partially torn ligament in his right elbow. Wallace was injured diving to save an offensive rebound in the first half as Barcelona defeated Panathinaikos Athens on Thursday in Game 5 of their playoff series. Wallace warmed up for the second half and was on the bench, but didn't return to play. Another power forward who just returned to action Thursday, Marko Todorovic, reinjured the broken finger on his right hand that forced him miss the first four playoff games. Their injuries are added to the absence of small forward Pete Mickeal, who will not return this season due to a blood clot. A fourth forward, Xavi Rabaseda, didn't play at all in the playoffs due to a leg injury, but returned to action in a domestic league game last weekend and is expected to be available for the Final Four.
