FIBA World Basketball Summit adds high-level speakers for wide-ranging agenda

The inaugural FIBA World Basketball Summit will feature an agenda designed to bring the key issues and opportunities facing basketball worldwide into sharp focus in Xi'an, China on October 3-4.
And organizers on Friday announced a growing line-up of expert panellists whose deep insights into subjects ranging from building strong leagues and clubs to sponsorship, media and the role of basketball in society will light up conversations and debates which will resonate way beyond the conference hall.
The FIBA World Basketball Summit agenda is built around seven subjects strands with panellists from around the world invited to share their knowledge and experience with an audience drawn from the Chinese and international basketball communities and the businesses and organisations which work alongside them to grow and develop the sport.
The seven subject strands are the following:
• Development - Growing basketball around the world
• Sponsorship - Enhancing the value of the relationship between brands and basketball
• Leagues and Clubs - Optimizing value and growing league and club brands
• Media - Maximizing engagement with the next generation of fans
• Basketball in Society - How the power of basketball changes lives
• China's Big Plan - Chinese basketball in the 5 trillion sports industry
• Basketball's Future

The panelists complement a world-class line-up of keynote contributors which consists of: Adam Silver, NBA Commissioner; Craig Zanon, Nike Global Head of Basketball; Caitlyn Chen, Tencent Vice-President; Casey Wassermann, Wasserman Media Group Founder & CEO; Philippe Blatter, Infront President & CEO and Wanda Sports Group President & Vice-Chairman; Mark Tatum, NBA Deputy Commissioner and FIBA Executive Committee Member; Rae Lin D'Alie, FIBA 3x3 World Champion 2018; Patrick Baumann, FIBA Secretary General and International Committee (IOC) Member.
The FIBA World basketball Summit is defined by the experience, authority and influence of its speakers, each of whom has made a significant contribution to developing the sport worldwide.
The two-day event has been designed for the whole basketball family and the businesses which work in and around it. It provides an opportunity to meet, share information and to learn.
Every session is designed to deliver maximum value to delegates who will come from all over the world and represent every stakeholder group.
