Boban Marjanovic and Nikola Milutinov will not play for Serbia in Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Belgrade.

Coach Sasha Djordjevic announced that the two big men will not play for the National Team this summer.

“Nikola Milutinov withdrew from the National Team. He wants to play in the NBA Summer League. I cannot explain some things. 20 days ago Boban Marjanovic told me that he was going to play. Two days ago he told me NO. I am speechless. Nemanja Bjelica is unlikely to play because of his injury but our goal is to have him 100% ready for the Olympics” Djordjevic told Zurnal.

Boban Marjanovic withdrew from the Olympic Qualifying Tournament because of the NBA free agency. The big man’s contract with the Spurs will expire on June 30 and he will be free agent and not able to sign any contract till July 6.
The Spurs big man said that he’d love to join the National Team if they will qualify for the Olympic Games but Djordjevic closed the doors of the National Team for him.

Vladimir Stimac has been invited to join the National Team training camp.
