EuroBasket 2015, group D: day 3 highlights

Third day of EuroBasket, victories for Belgium, Latvia and Estonia

First big surprise in group D at EuroBasket: with the winning buzzerbeater of Lojeski in tap-in Belgium wins 76-74 vs Lithuania reaching the second victory in a row. The Lions won the game despite the big difference at rebound, thanks to the really good percentage from the court. Only 1/13 by 3 for Lithuania, that keeps near the opponents thanks to the points from the free throw line.

For the men of coach Kazlauskas 25 points and 12 rebounds of Valanciunas, 13 for Jankunas, 10 of a good Sabonis and 7 with 13 assist for Kalnietis.
Lojeski drives Lions with 22 points and 5 assist, 16 for Tabu, 13 of Van Rossom, 12 points of Hervelle and 10 for Mwema.



Latvia wins second game of the day thanks to the partial in the second quarter. 72-65 the final score vs Czech Republic, that loses for the first time in EuroBasket. Too many error in free throws for the men of coach Ginzburg (11/24) while across really good game for all the team of coach Bagatskis, with 9 men on the scoreboard.

For Latvia 14 points of Blums, 11 with 7 assist for Strelnieks, 11+6 of Berzins and 9 points for Bertans.
For Czech Rep. 22 points with 5 rebounds and 9 assist of Satoransky, 17+11 of Vesely and 11 points for Schilb.



Whit an amazing second half Estonia won the game versus Ukraine for 78-71. Decisive the 22-6 partial of the third quarter, and the really good work in defense for the men of coach Sokk. Big surprise and first victory in EuroBasket for Estonia after two really bad defeats. Too many turnovers and third consecutive game lost for a disappointing Ukraine.

MVP of the game Arbet with 26 points, great performance also for Veideman (15+6+6) and Talts (10 points + 7 rebounds). Important the 5 points at the end of Sten Sokk.
For Ukraine 22 points and 4 assist of Randle, 11 for Mishula and 10 of Zaytsev, with only 6 points for Fesenko.
