National Teams
Few days ago, FIBA Europe announced that the FIBA Europe's Board approved the launch of new second level competition (details) will involve all the clubs not participating in the top club competition. This competition will start in the 2015-16 season.

On the same press release, the said that there is also a working group with the task to prepare proposal for the top European Club Competition.

Sportando found out which is the proposal that the members of the FIBA's Central Board will study in August and will launch from the 2016-17 season.

At this point we remind you that from 2017, we will have a new calendar with national teams' games during the season, in two "windows". To avoid that that the players will have more than 70 games per season, the new FIBA project will have 16 teams.

Eight of them will have an A license and 8 will pass through a Qualification Round where every country will have at least one representative.

Spots will be allocated based on sporting results of clubs in their national leagues and European club competitions.

They should have announced it earlier, I can't wait to see which teams their 1st tier competition will attract in two years.

So Euroleague won't exist anymore in two years? Or will the Euroleague(/Eurocup) competitions will exist side by side with the new FIBA ones?
