France shocks Spain in Madrid winning 65-52 in front of more than 10.000 Spainish fans.
France played a perfect game defensively leading for almost the entire 40 minutes.
The Eurobasket 2013 champions ended the first half leading 35-28.
Spain came back strong in the third quarter led by Navarro and Pau Gasol and finished the third period up by 1.
But in the final 10 minutes a heroic Rudy Gobert and Thomas Heurtel with the supervision of the leader Boris Diaw helped France to score 23 points allowing just 9 points.
Diaw ended with 15 points, Heurtel added 13 points, Gobert 5 points, 13 rebounds and 1 block.
Pau Gasol, who had the standing ovation in the final 30 seconds, scored 17 points with 8 boards while Navarro added 10 points.
Ibaka, Marc Gasol and Rubio combined just 10 points while France outrebounded Spain 50-28.
