Brazil tops France 63-65 behind Huertas' 16 points

Brazil topped reigning Eurobasket champions France 65-63.

After a slow start (18-11 France after 10'), Brazil came back in the second behind Marcelinho Huertas' great plays and the important work under the basket of Varejao, Splitter and Nene. Diot hit a big three-pointer to put France down by 1 with 2 seconds left (64-63) but Vieira hit the first free throw missing the second with 1 seconds left giving to Brazil the final victory.

Boris Diaw scored 15 points for France while Nicolas Batum had 13 points.

Marcelinho Huerts pace Brazil with 16 points and 5 assists, Varejao flirted with a double double (8+9), Barbosa had 8 as well while Nene scored 5 points grabbing 8 boards.
