Started Classification round and Eighth final round

National Teams

Senegal-Cote d'Ivoire 51-53
An historic win for Cote d'Ivoire, that is competing for the first time in World Championship. This win also gives them revenge for the last year's final loss in FIBA Africa Under 18 Championship. Both teams go almost scoreless in the last minute of the game, with Aboubakar Traorè blocking a shot from Khalifa Ndiaye with 26 seconds on the clock and Senegal trailing by one point.
Senegal has 13 points from Diatta, while Cote d'Ivoire has 17 points and 9 rebounds from Cedric Bah, 15 points and 12 rebounds from Dalen Traoré and 11 points with 7 rebounds and 6 steals from Alpha Touré. Both teams shoot about 25% from the field and combine for a 2/31 from deep.

Argentina-Croatia 63-85
The first game in Group E is a blowout: Croatia leads 49-19 at the half. Argentina is outrebounded 48-29 and shoot only 16 free throws (30 for Croatia). Forward Juan Vaulet scores 13 points, while Saric has 19 points, 18 rebounds, 5 assists and 8 turnovers for Croatia.

China-Australia 88-79
An extremely important win for China, now needing only a win in the next two games (Serbia, Brazil) to lock the qualification to the next round. Good start for Australia in the first quarter (18-8), but China is able to take the lead thanks mainly to free throws shooting: 23/28, while Australia goes only 5/11 (Exum 5/10).
The Aussies have 20 points from Exum and Naar, while the opponents have 27 points from Shuai Yuan, 22 from Shang Gao and 13 points, 17 rebounds and 7 blocks from Qi Zhou.

Serbia-Russia 60-46
Serbia is allowing only 50.5 points per game, holding opponents to 32% from the field. The win against Russia is the fourth in a row, which means a locked qualification to the Quarter-Finals; Russia instead has to take care of the next two games against Brazil and Australia.
Serbia has 14 points and 8 rebounds from Milutinov, while Russia has 17 points from Stanislav Ilnitskiy.

Korea-Czech Republic 96-95 (OT)
A nightmare: the hosts also lose the first game of Classification round, despite leading 52-36 at the half. Korea is still trailing by 12 points with 3.30 minutes at the end of fourth quarter; then, with a 14-2 run, is able to tie the game with a three point shot from point guard Hoon Heo, with 7 seconds on the clock.
Man Of the Match is Heo, who ties the game in the fourth and scores 32 points. Czech Republic has 24 points with 21 rebounds from Martin Peterka, 18 points from Petr Safarcik and 16 points with 11 rebounds from Prokop Slanina.

USA-Brazil 91-66
For the first time USA have a sort of normal game: they lead only 40-34 at the half, taking then a 20-points lead in the third quarter (29-14). 15 points for Rasheed Sulaimon and 14 points with 10 rebounds for Aaron Gordon; Brazil has only big man Leonardo Demetrio scoring in double-figures (15).

Lithuania-Canada 82-76
Lithuania is able to overcome a bad first quarter (8-21) to build a strong lead: with 1.28 minutes on the clock they are leading by 10. Then Canada makes a 7-0 run and has a three for the tie with 29 seconds on the clock, but Rathan-Mayes misses it. Tyler Ennis has 28 points and Trey Lyles has 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Lithuania has 22 points from Tomas Dimsa.

Iran-Spain 59-68
Not a really close game, but Iran is able to stay in it. Spain is undefeated again, while Iran will probably have a do-or-die game today against Canada.
Spain has 21 points and 11 rebounds from Edgar Vicedo, while Iran has 17 points from big man Mohammad Yusef Vand and 7 rebounds from Mashayekhi, a 6'0" guard that is averaging 9.5 rebounds per game.
