Il centro nigeriano di passaporto italiano ha ancora un anno di contratto con Milano

Serie A

After a season off for the problems with coach Sergio Scariolo, Benjamin Eze will return to action in 2012-13. The Nigerian big man with Italian passport has one more year on the contract with Olimpia but both parties have a buyout clause to exercise by Mid-July. Benjamin Eze enjoyed the life this season, paid 1 million of euros by Olimpia Milano, who is planning to exercise the clause and let him hit the free agent market.
One team who showed interest in Eze is Bilbao Basket. The Basque team targeted Eze last summer too but his salary was too high and situation between the big man and Milano too complex to finalize a deal.
Bilbao is interested and Eze would love to have an experience in Spain after his successfull season in Italy with Siena.
But Mens Sana, with whom Eze won all the titles in Italy, has the center in the radar too. Considering that Shaun Stonerook will likely announce his retire at the end of the season, Eze could be the Italian with passport in the roster for the coming season.
Benjamin Eze might have also market in Turkey as soon as the most important teams will hire their new coach.
Besiktas was interested in Eze last summer before they penned a deal with Zoran Erceg, who seems on his way to move away from the Bosphorus.
