Serie A Round 6: Sportando Team of the Week

STARTING FIVE:

Luca Vitali, PG, Reyer Venezia: The new head coach of Venezia, Zare Markovski decided to start with Vitali as point guard and the Italian International point guard ended with 19 points and 7 fouls drawn in the victory over Milano. Vitali was perfect from the line with 12/12. 

Michael Jenkins, G, Pallacanestro Cantù: Cantù lost against Cremona but Jenkins had one of the best performances of the season. The American guard scored 26 points with 6 rebounds and 25 of index rating.

Jason Rich, SF, Vanoli Cremona: Cremona had the best first half of its history with 64 points scored in 20’. Rich was the MVP of the game with 19 points and 4 assists.

Kaloyan Ivanov, PF, Sidigas Avellino: Scandone won the derby against Caserta and the Bulgarian finished the game with a double double in points and rebounds. Ivanov started the game with five turnovers but from the second quarter he returned on the right track grabbing 15 rebounds and scoring 15 points being perfect from the field (7/7).

Trevor Mbakwe, C, Acea Roma: The rookie had his best game as pro but it was not enough for Roma to beat Bologna. Mbakwe scored 21 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and drew 10 fouls for 37 of index rating.

Sixth man & MVP:

Matt Walsh, F, Granarolo Bologna: the American forward showed once again that he is the leader of Virtus Bologna and one of the top three foreigners in Serie A. Walsh came off the bench in the victory over Virtus Roma and scored 19 pints with 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 8 fouls drawn for 27 of index rating.
