Serie A, Round 2: Sportando Team of the Week

Samuels the MVP, then Lakovic-Diener-Brooks-Polonara

Samardo Samuels win the Sportando MVP award for Game 2 of Italian Serie A.

Starting Five:

Jaka Lakovic, PG, Sidigas Avellino:  The Slovenian point guard dominated the game against Pistoia flirting with a triple double. Lakovic ended with 12 points (perfect from the line), 8 rebounds and 6 assists for 27 of evaluation and +18 of plus/minus. 

Drake Diener, G, Banco di Sardegna Sassari: Mandrake came off the bench and finished with 27 points in 31 minutes. The American guard was the key player for Sassari's victory over Cantù. Drake Diener hit 5 three-pointers in the win.

Jeffrey Brooks, SF, Pasta Reggia Caserta: Brooks did not have his best shooting night but the American forward was decisive on both sides of the court. Brooks registered a double double in points and rebounds (14+15) and Caserta grabbed an overtime win in Pesaro

Achille Polonara, PF, Cimberio Varese: Varese lost the fourth game since the season started but Achille Polonara showed  once again that he is one of the key players of Cimberio. In the derby against Milano, Polonara scored 26 points with 5 three-pointers, 5 rebounds and 1 block.

Samardo Samuels, C, Olimpia Milano: The MVP of the round. The Jamaican big man killed the game against Varese ending with 21 points, 11 rebounds, 1 block and 29 of evaluation dominating the opponente Hassell and Scekic.

SIXTH MAN:

Troy Bell, G, Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia: Reggio Emilia crushed Mens Sana Siena and the contribution of Troy Bell off the bench was almost perfect. The guard ended with 22 points (6/8 from the field, 8/8 from the line) and 6 rebounds.
