Bobby Jones will retire at the end of next season

Bobby Jones re-signed with Virtus Roma for one more season. The American forward announced on Facebook that next season will be his last one as professional basketball player, as Il Romanista wrote.

Jones will return to the States to spent more time with his daughter. 


Looks like I will be playing in Rome again for the upcoming season. Sad fully this will be the last contract that I will sign overseas because I'm going into an early retirement from basketball. Its time to "physically" be apart of my daughter's life more, being overseas wasn't helping that at all. She needs me and I so need her, so basically that's what it came down to. I know I could play ball 3-4 more years but that's not in my priorities anymore, I'm just about ready for the next phase in my life. Just wanted to share that with everybody!#AsYouWere
