Jerome Bridgewater Signs With Ratiopharm Ulm

Il giovane arriva al Ratiopharm

BBL

A few weeks ago, the BBL was a big dream and big goal of German Jerome Bridgewater (193-F-89) and today it has become a reality as Ratiopharm Ulm has signed him to a contract. The 193cm forward who grew up watching his heros play in the Kuhberg halle in Ulm, but also spent time living in USA will get a chance to show what he can do on the floor. Ulm which has been known of signing young Germans and shaping and developing them further have a clear idea of what he will do. 'I see Jerome as our 11th or 12th man. We will give him a chance. At the same time, he will be able to play in the Oberliga and get his German Abitur', stated Ratiopharm Ulm manager Thomas Stoll

Bridgewater started his basketballl career in 2004 with the SG Urspringschule juniors and played there until 2006. He then moved to BSG Ludwigsburg where he played Regionaliga the last two years.Last season, he averaged 8,9ppg.The twenty year old who spent time this summer working out with Ludwigsburg assistant coach Tyrone Mccoy knows what he can do on the floor, but also understands that he can still improve in areas. 'I am more of an energy guy and try to play smart. I am just doing things that I am thinking I am able to do.I think that I am very good at attacking the rim and drawing fouls. I love to create and set up shots for my teammates. I run the fast break very well. I am a strong rebounder for a small forward and love to attack the rim. My best strength is my on an doff ball defense. My physical strength allows me to make it possible for me to guard pgs, sgs, sfs and also some smaller pfs. I do still have to work on my jump shot. My perimeter shot has to get better. My weak hand finishes are not very good. I sometimes struggle at the foul line. I get stuck or lost often in a zone defense. I do not have any post moves yet', stressed Jerome Bridgewater (193-F-89) For a 20 year old, Bridgewater already talks like an experienced player who has a clear vision of what he can or cant do. In Ulm, he will have a lot of time to get better with coach Mike Taylor guiding him in the right direction.
