Ludwigsburg fires coach Stafford

With just one game left in the regular season EnBW Ludwigsburg announced the departure of head coach Rick Stafford .
Assistant coach Tyron McCoy will be responsible for the team in this week's practice and the last game against Walter Tigers Tuebingen.

Stafford, who joined the club last summer, was sacked by the management because he could not fulfill the expectations. Ludwigsburg did not qualify for the play-offs this season.
After the end of his successful player career, Stafford started as a headcoach for TSV Troester Breitenguessbach, he also was assistant coach of the Brose Baskets Bamberg in that year. Last season the 37-year old american was a full-time assistantcoach of Dirk Bauermann in Bamberg. Ludwigsburg was his first head coach experience in Germany's division 1.
