A well-rounded veteran is set to return to the Turkish Airlines Euroleague next season, as FC Bayern Munich announced Thursday that veteran guard Demond Greene had signed a one-year contract renewal. Greene (1.85 meters, 34 years old) will start his fourth season with Bayern. He helped the team go from the second division to the first in 2011 and then to reach the German League semifinals last season, when averaged 3.2 points and 1.1 rebounds in 41 games. Greene has also played for Gymnastikos Olympia Larissas in Greece, as well as for Brose Baskets Bamberg, Alba Berlin, Bayer Giants Leverkusen, TuS Aschaffenburg and DJK S.Oliver Wuerzburg in Germany. He has also been a member of the German national team, which he helped win a silver medal at EuroBasket 2005. He also lifted the German League trophy with Alba in 2006. "I am pleased to carry on being part of this family. It is terrific to take part in the Euroleague for the first time in club history," Greene said. "I am sure we will see some great games, and some wins, at the European level. I will give everything to help our team to achieve its goals."
