Strasbourg adds Paul Lacombe

One of the biggest prospects in French basketball is set to make his Turkish Airlines Euroleague next season, as Strasbourg officially announced the arrival of guard Paul Lacombe, who inked a two-year deal with his new club on Friday. Lacombe (1.94 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Asvel Basket, the only club in his career until he joined Strasbourg. He averaged 2.1 points and 1.3 rebounds in 27 French League games last season. Lacombe has two seasons of Eurocup experience on his back and took part in a Euroleague games - 7 seconds against Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul in 2009-10. He helped Asvel win the Semaine des As title in 2010 and also lifted the 2010 U20 European Championships with the French national team. "I am very pleased to join Strasbourg. It is one of the best clubs in France," Lacombe said. "I am looking forward to working with coach Vincent Collet and starting this new adventure."
