Luka Zoric continued his impressive Top 16 with a dominant performance in the paint at both ends to lead Unicaja to a crucial road win at Real Madrid on Friday. In doing so, Luka Zoric became the first player this season to claim weekly MVP honors twice by becoming the Top 16 Game 11 bwin MVP. Zoric tallied 21 points – making 7 of 10 from the field and 7 of 10 from the line – and grabbed 12 rebounds in addition to 2 steals and 2 blocks for a performance index rating of 33, which was the most of any player in Top 16 Game 11. His 12 boards were also the week’s high. Zoric eclipsed another player with a previous Top 16 MVP under his belt for this week’s title. Ricky Hickman of Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv dominated in the fourth quarter to lead his team to a pivotal win over BC Khimki Moscow Region. Hickman scored 30 points – including 4 of 7 three-pointers – en route to a performance index rating of 28. Nate Jawai of Barcelona Regal and Jordan Farmar of Anadolu Efes Istanbul tied for the third highest index with ratings of 26 each. Jawai scored 16 points and near-perfect shooting and grabbed 9 rebounds in a win over Besiktas JK Istanbul. Farmar totaled 29 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists in an overtime win over Brose Baskets Bamberg. Panathinaikos forward Jonas Maciulis rounded out the week’s top five after shooting 4 for 4 from downtown en route to 16 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals and a 24 index in a win over Alba Berlin.

Individual leaders: Ricky Hickman of Maccabi Electra, 30 points

Hickman’s 30-point outburst was the week’s best offensive effort and boosted him into the Top 16 top 10 with 14.3 points per game. Fenerbahce Ulker swingman Bojan Bogdanovic, who sat out this week’s game with an injury, remains this phase’s top scorer with 21.8 points per game. Zoric climbed to seventh in the Top 16 rebounding charts at 5.8 per game. CSKA Moscow forward Viktor Khryapa leads the Top 16 with 8.1 rebounds per game. Efes guard Jamon Lucas dished 11 assists to top all players in Top 16 Game 11. He is fourth in the Top 16 with 5 assists per game; Zoran Planinic of BC Khimki is the top assist man of this stage with 7.3 per game. Five players – David Jelinek of Caja Laboral Vitoria, Rimantas Kaukenas of Zalgiris Kaunas, Maciulis of Panathinaikos, Bo McCalebb of Fenerbahce Ulker and Sonny Weems of CSKA Moscow – shared the week lead with 3 steals each. McCalebb’s 2.2 steals per game are tops in the Top 16. Shawn James of Maccabi Electra came within 1 block of a club record when rejecting 5 shots on Thursday. Not only were those the most all week, but with 2.2 blocks per game, James is also the Top 16 leader. Only two players notched double doubles in Top 16 Game 11: the weekly MVP Zoric and Olympiacos big man Kyle Hines (10 points, 11 rebounds).
