Regular season Week 9 bwin MVP: Blake Schilb, Elan Chalon

An outstanding individual performance in an overtime winning effort allowed Blake Schilb of Elan Chalon-sur-Saone to earn Turkish Airlines Euroleague regular season Week 9 bwin MVP honors. Schilb led Chalon to a spectacular 108-103 overtime home win with 28 points on 6-of-7 two-point shots, 3-of-5 three-pointers and 7-of-8 free throw attempts. He added 7 rebounds, 5 assists, a steal, a block and 6 fouls drawn for a performance index ranking of 38, the highest all around the competition this week. Sasha Vujacic of Anadolu Efes Istanbul shined in his team's home loss against Caja Laboral Vitoria with 21 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 7 fouls drawn, good for a 28 index. Romain Sato of Fenerbahce Ulker shined against his former team, Panathinaikos Athens. Even when Fenerbahce lost the game, Sato shined with 20 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, a steal and 4 fouls drawn for a 27 index. Keith Langford of EA7 Emporio Armani Milano, who got a 24 index, and Bobby Brown of Montepaschi Siena, Sasha Kaun, Sonny Weems and Nenad Krstic of CSKA Moscow, Manuchar Markoishvili of Mapooro Cantu and Rasid Mahalbasic of Asseco Prokom Gdynia, each with a 23 index, complete the top individual performances this week.

Individual highs: Milos Teodosic of CSKA, 11 assists

Schiln was also this week's top scorer by bagging 28 against Montepaschi. Brown is the competition's top scorer, averaging 19.1 per night. Yassin Idbihi of Alba Berlin pulled down 12 rebounds against Unicaja Malaga to lead the weekly standings. Aron Baynes of Union Olimpija stays as the Euroleague's best rebounder at 10 per night. Teodosic dished 11 assists in CSKA's home win against Besiktas JK Istanbul. Dimitris Diamantidis of Panathinaikos leads the overall standings at 6.3 per night. Sinan Guler of Efes and Leon Radosevic of Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius each collected 4 steals in regular season Game 9. Ricky Hickman of Maccabi Electra is first overall at 2.22 steals per game. Ioannis Bourousis of EA7 Emporio Armani Milan and Stephane Lasme of Panathinaikos each had 3 blocks this week. Lasme leads the 2012-13 Euroleague in blocks at 2.5 per game. Brown - 26 points, 10 assists -, Idbihi - 11 points, 12 rebounds -, Baynes - 11 points, 10 rebounds -, Felipe Reyes of Real Madrid - 11 points, 10 rebounds - and Ronnie Seibutis of L. Rytas - 19 points, 10 rebounds - registered respective double-doubles this week.
