Two players whose home teams faced close halftime scores - Ante Tomic of FC Barcelona Regal and Rudy Fernandez of Real Madrid - came out of the locker rooms to show the way to big victories and share the bwin MVP award with the best performances on winning teams in Week 7. Tomic was Mr. Inside as Barcelona, trailing by 3 points at halftime, stormed past Lietuvos Rytas by a final score of 90-66. He made all 7 of his two-point shots and pulled 7 rebounds to score 17 points, his Euroleague season-high in a Barcelona uniform. Tomic's performance index rating of 28 was also a career high for him in this, his fourth Euroleague season. As Mr. Outside, Fernandez was able to match that index rating as Madrid turned a 1-point halftime lead into a 104 to 81 victory over visiting BC Khimki Moscow Region. Fernandez buried 3 three-pointers, as many acrobatic two-point shots and 8 of 9 free throws while dishing 3 assists to his teammates. He finished with 23 points in just 17 minutes on the floor as Madrid took over first place in its group with one foot already in the Top 16. This marked the second time this season Fernandez is a weekly co-MVP. The player with the top performance of the week, Shawn James of Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv, was ineligible to be weekly MVP because his team lost, 89-87, at Montepaschi Siena. Shawn rewrote his lists of personal bests with 22 points on perfect shooting plus 12 rebounds for an index rating of 39, the second best all season. Blake Schilb of Elan Chalon was next on the list of Week 7's top performers with a 29 index rating in a loss to Alba Berlin. Schilb posted 21 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 2 steals. Rounding out the week’s best is Michael Bramos, whose 21 points on 7-of-9 three-point shooting plus 9 rebounds led Panathinaikos to a 69-71 road win at Mapooro Cantu.

Week 7’s best scorer is no stranger to such honors. The competition’s career scoring king, Juan Carlos Navarro of FC Barcelona Regal, went off for 24 points on a night he was honored. Navarro led Barca to a 90-66 victory over Lietuvos Rytas as he celebrated 15 years since making his debut with Barcelona. Bobby Brown of Montepaschi Siena remains this season’s top scorer with 20.1 points per game. Rookie big man Alen Omic of Union Olimpija pulled down 13 rebounds – including a team record of 10 offensive boards – to lead the league in Week 7. His teammate, Aron Baynes, is this season’s No. 1 rebounder with an average of 10 per game. Former MVP Milos Teodosic flashed his court vision in dishing 11 assists – the most of any player this week – as CSKA clinched a Top 16 berth. Vassilis Spanoulis of Olympiacos tops the season’s assists charts with 6.3 per game. Teodosic also had the most steals this week, 4 against Partizan. Ricky Hickman of Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv remains the season-long leader with 2.7 per game. This week's top shot-blocker, with 4 rejections, was center Randall Falker of Besiktas JK Istanbul. Stephane Lasme of Panathinaikos Athens is the overall leader with 2.17 on average. Four players got double-doubles in Week 7, all in points and rebounds: James (22 and 12), Omic (13 and 13) and Baynes (10 and 10) were joined by Ioannis Bourousis of EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, who had 12 rebounds and 10 points.
