Regular Season Game 6 bwin MVP: Sasha Vujacic, Anadolu Efes Istanbul

A stellar performance in a winning effort has made Sasha Vujacic of Anadolu Efes Istanbul the Euroleague regular season Game 6 bwin MVP. Vujacic used a dominant second-half to achieve a career-high 29 points and a performance index ranking of 31. Vujacic led Efes to a big come-from-behind home win over EA7 Emporio Armani Milan by making 6 of 8 three-pointers. He had 17 of his 29 points in a pivotal third quarter in which Efes took the lead for good. Vujacic added 2 rebounds, 3 assists, a steal, a block and 10 fouls drawn for a 31 index. Jaka Blazic of Union Olimpija Ljubljana and Mickael Gelabale of Cedevita Zagreb tied for second place in the weekly MVP race, each with a 30 index. Blazic had 30 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 6 fouls drawn in Olimpija's home win over Mapooro Cantu. He also made the go-ahead free throws with 20.4 seconds left. Gelabale had 23 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 fouls drawn as Cedevita beat Zalgiris Kaunas in double overtime. Gelabale sent the game to that second extra period with a put-back dunk. Darjus Lavrinovic of Zalgiris also had a 30 index in that game, but in a losing effort. Lavrinovic had 24 points on 10-of-13 two-point shooting, 5 rebounds and 6 fouls drawn. Stephane Lasme of Panathinaikos Athens and Deon Thompson of Alba Berlin, each with a 24 index, complete the top individual performances in regular season Game 6. 

Individual highs: Kerem Gonlum of Anadolu Efes, 12 rebounds 

Blazic led all scorers with 30 points against Cantu. Bobby Brown of Montepaschi Siena remains the regular season's scoring leader at 20.8 per night. Gonlum led all Game 6 players by pulling down 12 rebounds against Cedevita. Aron Baynes of Olimpija is the only player to average double digits in rebounds at 10 per game. Leo Westermann of Partizan, Dimitris Diamantidis of Panathinaikos and Vassilis Spanoulis of Olympiacos Pireaus each dished 8 assists this week – more than any other players. Spanoulis is the assists leader at 6.67 per game. Ricky Hickman of Maccabi Electra collected 5 steals in his team's home loss to Unicaja Malaga and also leads the entire competition at 2.83 per game. Ante Tomic of FC Barcelona Regal had 4 blocks to lead all players in Game 6. Lasme is first overall in blocks with 2 per game. Gelabale, Gonlum, Baynes, Nihad Djedovic of Alba and Adam Hrycaniuk of Asseco Prokom all registered respective double-doubles this week.
