2012 Nike International Junior Tournament set

The 2012 Euroleague Basketball Nike International Junior Tournament field is complete.  Eight elite junior teams will meet to decide a champion from Thursday, May 10 through Sunday, May 13, during the 2012 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four in Istanbul, Turkey.  Four new additions to the event will join the four teams that qualified from the classification tournaments held during the season.  KK Zagreb Croatia Osiguranje of Croatia advanced from the Torneo Citta di Roma; Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius of Lithuania qualified from the Torneig Junior Ciutat de L'Hospitalet; Zalgiris Kaunas of Lithuania was crowned champion of the NIJT Classification Tournament Kaunas; and Crvena Zvezda Belgrade of Serbia secured its ticket by winning the NIJT Classification Tournament Belgrade.  Joining these teams are FC Barcelona Regal of Spain, which was the runner-up at the L'Hospitalet tournament, local teams Anadolu Efes Istanbul and Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul of Turkey, and for only the second time, Team China.

The group-stage games will be held at the famed Abdi Ipekci Arena, while the title game is set for Sinan Erdem Arena on the same floor that the games of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four will be played.  The tenth edition of the Euroleague Basketball Nike International Junior Tournament follows hot on the heels of the four classification tournaments, in which a total of 32 teams competed.  With Europe's best under-18 players headed to Istanbul, the champion will go home as the undisputed European junior club champion!
