Top 16 Week 6 MVP: Romain Sato, Montepaschi Siena

The Top 16 came to an end with a farewell performance by Romain Sato of Montepaschi Siena being good enough earn him the MVP honor for Week 6. It marked second time this season that he won the weekly award. Sato led Montepaschi to a 93-87 home win against Efes Pilsen with 22 points on 6-of-9 two-pointers and 7-of-7 free throws. He added 5 rebounds, an assist, 2 steals and 5 fouls drawn to get a performance index rating of 27, the very best of Top 16 Week 6. Sato had also put of the best performance in Week 3 of the Regular Season. Coming in second place this week behind Sato were Raul Lopez of Khimki Moscow Region and Mirza Teletovic of Caja Laboral, who led their teams to victories with identical 26 index ratings. Lopez had 14 points on 3-of-4 three-pointers, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 fouls drawn as Khimki defeated Olympiacos. Teletovic shined with 25 points, 9 rebounds and 6 fouls drawn as Caja Laboral rallied to win in overtime and reach the playoffs. Mantas Kalnietis of Zalgiris and D'or Fischer of Maccabi Electra, each with a 25 index rating, completed the top individual performances in Top 16 Week 6.

Individual highs: Aleks Maric of Partizan, 14 rebounds

Teletovic was the Top 16 Week 6 best scorer with 25 points against Cibona. Two of his opponents in that game, Jamont Gordon and Marko Tomas, tied as the best scorers of the Top 16, each at 20 points per game. Aleks Maric of Partizan pulled down 14 rebounds against Regal FC Barcelona to lead the weekly standings. His teammate, Lawrence Roberts, was the Top 16 rebounding champ at 7.8 per night. Gordon and Omar Cook each dished 8 assists in Top 16 Week 6. Cook was also the Top 16 assists leader at 5.8 per game. Junior Harrington of Asseco Prokom and Berni Rodriguez of Unicaja, who played against each other, each collected 4 steals, the most this week. Charles Smith of Efes Pilsen and Viktor Khryapa of CSKA Moscow tied atop the Top 16 steals board at 2.5 per game. Ante Tomic of Real Madrid had 4 blocks against Maccabi, more than anyone this week. D'or Fischer led the phase with 2 blocks per night. Maric - 11 points, 14 rebounds - and Stanko Barac of Laboral - 10 points, 11 rebounds - were the only players to register double-doubles in Top 16 Week 6.
