Top 16 Week 6 MVP: Mike Batiste, Panathinaikos

Panathinaikos not only became its Top 16 group champion - getting the home court advantage in its best-of-five Quarterfinal Playoffs series against Montepaschi Siena - but one of his signature players earned weekly MVP honors, too. Mike Batiste led Panathinaikos to a 103-95 overtime home win against Unicaja with 22 points on 9-for-10 two-pointers. He added 9 rebounds, a steal, a block and 7 fouls drawn to amass a 35 index. Mirsad Turkcan of Fenerbahce Ulker shined in his team's home loss against Montepaschi with 19 points on 6-for-8 two-pointers and 1-for-1 triples. He added 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 fouls drawn to get a 30 index. Gianluca Basile of Regal FC Barcelona and Blagota Sekulic of Alba Berlin each had a 27 index in Top 16 Week 6. Basile led Barcelona to a critical road win against Maccabi Electra with 23 points on 7-for-9 three-pointers. Meanwhile, Sekulic had 21 points and 8 rebounds against his former team, Real Madrid, even when Alba registered a heartbreaking last-second loss. Juan Carlos Navarro of Regal FCB had a 26 index to complete the top individual performances this week.

Individual highs: Rimantas Kaukenas of Montepaschi Siena, 27 points

Kaukenas was the Top 16 Week 6 best scorer with 27 points in his team's road win against FB Ulker. His teammate Terrell McIntyre was the Top 16 leading scorer (20.2 ppg.) despite not playing against Fener. Five players - Turkcan, Batiste, Pat Burke of Asseco Prokom, Charles Gaines of Maccabi Electra and Ersan Ilyasova of Regal FCB - each grabbed 9 rebounds. Turkcan was also the Top 16 best rebounder at 9.2 per night. Omar Cook of Unicaja, Brandon Jennings of Lottomatica Roma and Emir Preldzic of Fenerbahce Ulker each dished 6 assists in Top 16 Week 6 to lead the weekly standings. Cook was the Top 16 assists champion at 5.5 per game. Three players - Dimitris Diamantidis of Panathinaikos, Theo Papaloukas of Olympiacos and Shaun Stonerook of Montepaschi - collected 5 steals apiece in this rounf. David Logan of Asseco Prokom led the Top 16 steals table at 3.5 per game. Ilyasova, Fran Vazquez also of Regal FCB, Zarko Rakocevic of Partizan and Viktor Khryapa of CSKA each had 3 blocks in Top 16 Week 16. Vazquez was the Top 16 best shot blocker at 2.67 per game. No player registered a double-double in this round.
