Spalding to remain official basketball and backboard for Euroleague, Eurocup through 2021

Euroleague Basketball and Spalding are pleased to announce the renewal of their partnership for an additional five seasons, through June 2021. The ongoing collaboration, which four years ago made Spalding the official provider of basketballs for the Turkish Airlines Euroleague and the Eurocup, keeps the international sports equipment leader prominently on the list of world-class brands and industry leaders that make up the Euroleague's family of official partners.

The first years of the partnership have produced both success and innovation. With the new deal in place, Spalding will continue to produce and supply Euroleague Basketball and its competitions, programs and activities across the continent with top-of-the-line products and its newest basketballs. Additionally Spalding will also become the official backboard of the Euroleague.

Spalding has been the global provider of the official game ball for both the Turkish Airlines Euroleague and the Eurocup since the start of 2012-13 season. The largest basketball equipment supplier in the world, Spalding collaborated with some of the Euroleague's top stars in developing the Euroleague Basketball UNITE ball prior to the 2012-13 Euroleague playoffs, and the black-and-orange basketball has since become a symbol of Europe's top competition.

Two years ago, Euroleague Basketball and Spalding brought joy to basketball fans and memorabilia collectors worldwide by releasing uniquely-designed UNITE team basketballs that feature customized colors and logos for each team participating in the Euroleague.

Spalding is also an integral part of the season's climax, the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four. This season in Berlin, Spalding's presence will be seen and felt not only at the games that decide the next continental champion, but also at the Fanzone, One Team programme activities and ADIDAS NEXT GENERATION TOURNAMENT, among others, which are all supplied with Spalding basketballs and products. Spalding products, including both the Euroleague Basketball UNITE ball and UNITE team balls bearing the logos of the participating Final Four clubs, will be on sale at different venues throughout Final Four weekend in Berlin and at the on-line Euroleague Store.
