Playoffs Game 5 MVP: Chris Singleton, Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar

Chris Singleton came through with his best game of the season at the perfect time to lead Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar into the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four and become MVP of Game 5 of the playoffs. Singleton posted his first Euroleague double, 16 points and 12 rebounds, while posting a season-high performance index rating of 27, which was the best of all Game 5 participants. The big man didn't just have big numbers: he starred in the fourth-quarter run that led his team to an 81-67 victory over FC Barcelona Lassa and clinched a berth at the Final Four in Berlin. Singleton hit the go-ahead three-pointer among his 11 unanswered points and added an assist for a 14-0 game-breaking charge by Lokomotiv. On the night, he made all 3 of his two-point shots, 2 of 4 from downtown and 4 of 5 from the foul line and also contributed 2 assists and a steal in the memorable win. Teammate Malcom Delaney had the second-highest index rating of Game 5. He recorded 17 points and 6 assists for an index rating of 23, while swingman Ryan Broekhoff added 14 points on 4-of-6 three-point shooting for an index rating of 18. Tomas Satoransky and Ante Tomic had the best numbers for Barcelona: Satoransky compiled 8 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for an index rating of 14 and Tomic was good for 8 points, 8 boards and an index rating of 14.

Delaney was Game 5's best scorer with his 17 points, which left him as the fifth-best scorer of the playoffs with 15.4 points per game. Final Four-bound Darius Adams of Laboral Kutxa Vitoria Gasteiz finished as the top scorer in the playoffs with a 22.7 point average in his team's three-game sweep of Panathinaikos Athens. Singleton was the top rebounder in Game 5 and recorded its only double-double. Real Madrid center Gustavo Ayon led all playoff participants in rebounding with 8 per game. Satoransky finished as the playoffs runner-up in assists after dishing 7, which was the most of Game 5. His 6.2 assists per game trailed only Nick Calathes of Panathinaikos’s 6.7 per game. No player in Game 5 had multiple steals or blocks. Nine different players recorded steals and Broekhoff had Game 5's lone block.
