Pargo scores 27 points in Maccabi Tel Aviv's loss to the Nets

Pargo, Maccabi Electra impress in US Tour finale in Brooklyn

EuroLeague
Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv went down fighting 111-94 to the Brooklyn Nets in the 2014 Euroleague US Tour final on Tuesday at Barclays Center in New York. The Turkish Airlines Euroleague champs thrilled their large following at the game with plenty of highlights and several exciting runs, despite the fact that they were tired from a 17-day trip over three continents and missing a key player in Alex Tyus, who sat out after injuring his ankle. Brooklyn surged ahead 12-2 in the start and never trailed, but Maccabi did cut the gap to 1 several times in the second quarter and even with the game out of reach later in the second half, continued to impress, especially through some high flying dunks from Brian Randle and Jeremy Pargo. Brrok Lopez led the Brooklyn effort with 20 points, while Deron Williams tallied 17 points and 7 assists, Joe Johnson scored 14 and former Euroleague MVP Andrei Kirilenko and one-time Caja Laboral Vitoria standout Mirza Teletovic 13 each. Pargo paced Maccabi with 27 points and 7 assists, Randle added 16 points, Sylven Landesberg, with dozens of friends and family members cheering him on, scored 14 and grabbed 8 rebounds, and team captain Guy Pnini finished with 10. Former Maccabi players David Blu and Andrew Wisniewski were also on hand to support the team.
