Euroleague Top 16, Round 7: Sportando Team of the Week

Ante Tomic the MVP

EuroLeague

MVP - Ante Tomic (FC Barcelona)
In the road win in Vitoria (80-68) Tomic plays an outstanding game, being unstoppable in the paint. He scores with ease against Pleiss' length, putting him in early foul troubles, and also cutting really well of pick and roll plays. He also has a key role in team defense, tirelessly moving to help or switch on the pick and roll, and shows high-level toughness in playing on-man defense and fighting for rebound. He finishes with 24 PTS on an 8/9 shooting, 9 RBS, 7 FD and 36 EV in less than 30 minutes on the court.

Malcolm Delaney (FC Bayern Munich)
Right now one of the most unguardable players in Europe, Delaney leads the comeback from -19 in the huge home win against Lokomotiv Kuban (82-79). He shoots poorly from the field, hitting only 1 of his 6 two-point attempts, but thanks to his astonishing quickness he's able to draw a lot of fouls, scoring 10 of his 18 points from the free throw line. He also sinks a couple of pivotal threes during the 20-7 break which gives to Bayern Munich the early lead in the third quarter, and finishes with 18 PTS on a perfect 10/10 shooting from the free throw line, 5 RBS, 8 FD, 24 EV and an incredible +19 plus/minus.

Keith Langford (EA7 Milan)
One more impressive scoring performance by Langford, who leads Euroleague in scoring with 17,47 points per game. In the home win against Unicaja Malaga (70-59) he does a good job in not forcing shots and scores in many different ways, being deadly particularly in ISO situations or pick and roll plays. He has 29 PTS on an impressive 10/14 shooting from the field, 6 FD and 29 EV.

Victor Khryapa (CSKA Moscow)
A Maccabi Tel Aviv team hammered by injuries is powerless against CSKA, who easily wins in Moscow (100-65). Still Khryapa has a really good game, not taking many shots but moving the ball really well and frequently making the entry pass, while also playing excellent defense and pulling down 10 rebounds against a powerless opponent which is outrebounded 38-17.
He has 10 PTS, 10 RBS, 8 AST, 4 STL and 32 EV.

Stephane Lasme (Panathinaikos)
In the home win against Olympiacos (66-62) Lasme does a good job in the paint on both ends of the floor, playing a tough, physical game and being able to limit Dunston on defense. He comes back on the court with 4.09 on the clock and his team down by 4 (55-59), making all the pivotal plays: on defense he force a turnover on Dunston and then makes a huge block on Sloukas, while on the offensive end he makes a couple of pivotal shots, one from the low post and one from the elbow, and sinks the last two free throws which ice the game. He has 18 PTS, 5 RBS, 6 FD and 25 EV.
