Euroleague Game 7: Sportando Team of the Week

Kyle Hines the MVP

EuroLeague

MVP - Kyle Hines (CSKA Moscow).
Playing as usual an impressive all-around game, Hines is the key player in the fourth quarter break which allows CSKA to grab the road win in Kyiv (82-74). He plays defense against Budivelnyk's big men, makes a couple of big defensive plays on Strelnieks' pick and roll, has an astonishing chase-down block on Minard and as usual makes countless intangibles, contesting shots, setting excellent screens and making a crucial tap-out with about 3 minutes on the clock. Hines is also the top scorer in the last quarter with 10 points, scoring 4 in the starting 8-0 run. He finishes with 18 PTS, 6 RBS, 21 EV and a +18 plus/minus.

Daniel Hackett (Montepaschi Siena)
Hackett's leadership on both ends of the floor is keeping Siena alive in this Euroleague: in the home win against  Bayern Munich (71-62) he scores 12 points in the first half, plays high-level defense and is able to keep the team lead in the second half, controlling the tempo and showing once again excellent decision making. He has a triple-double, the second overall in this Euroleague, finishing with 15 PTS, 10 AST, 11 FD, 29 EV and only 1 TO; he also leads Euroleague in drawing fouls, averaging 8.3 per game.

Keith Langford (EA7 Milan)
In the road loss in Kaunas (71-73), Langford keeps Milan in the game thanks to his impressive scoring prowess: even though he misses some pivotal shots and has too many defensive woes, he's unguardable on offense, regularly beating the defender and finishing with 29 PTS, 13 FD and 36 EV, all Euroleague season-highs.

Bostjan Nachbar (FC Barcelona)
Starting at the 4 in place of Lampe for the first time, with 10 points Nachbar is the main offensive contributor in the impressive first quarter (35-15) against Fenerbahçe, which gives to Barcelona a crucial home win (94-81), sending them to the Top 16. Other than this shooting show against an unrecognizable Turkish defense, he also steps up on the defensive end with some notable play in help defense. He has 23 PTS, 9 RBS, 7 FD and 31 EV.

Derrick Brown (Lokomotiv Kuban)
The American forward is playing an outstanding season, leading Lokomotiv Kuban to an historic accomplishment in grabbing the Top 16: the road win in Vilnius (84-53) is not his best Euroleague game, but his length and athleticism are still hardly matchable by opponents, he's unstoppable in transitions and plays excellent defense, being able to easily switch on pick and roll plays. He finishes with 20 PTS, 8 RBS and 29 EV.
